An activation key works for one major release only, if you buy a 2013 release license, you must use a 2013 version only, the editix version is displayed in the window title bar.

Small Business Licenses : For freelance workers, small companies with less than 20 employees in total.

There's no functional difference between both licenses.

Once your payment accepted, you will receive by mail a registered name and an activation key. This key will work only for one major release, it means if you buy a 2010 key, you can only activate a 2010 release.
